Natural stone finishes
Finish changes how a stone looks and feels, and can also influence use and maintenance.
Polished
Leaves a smooth, glossy surface.
Colour and pattern usually look more intense and the stone reflects more light.
Honed
Has a matt, less reflective look.
The pattern remains visible, but the result is softer than with a polished finish.
Brushed
Adds tactile texture and a different look from polished or honed.
It can be used when you want to give more presence to the stone's own texture.
Other finishes
Depending on the stone and application, other finishes and textures can be used.
